Stucco Progress - 5/8/11

Browncoating...this process involves slathering on a rough layer of Quikcrete stucco mix & then smoothing it in a circular motion.

Fine-tuning includes the corners and areas around the garage openings.

Prep work for stucco involves covering the entire exterior with a heavy-duty waterproof black felt paper, then adding metal L-shaped pieces around all doors and windows.
The next step is gluing 1" foam to every vertical surface, taping the seams with masking tape, then attaching a very strong wire mesh with barbs to hold the stucco.  Each outside corner is reinforced with a 2" L-shaped curled wire piece.
