We have windows & doors!!

The windows and most of the doors are finally in!!  Now we just need a roof to keep the dad-blamed rain out.  We sucked up about 20 gallons of water on Monday after a torrential downpour.  At least we have a front door to keep the wind from whistling through.  Plumbers have done their rough-in and the HVAC guys have started.  We've been getting bids on security, internet, phone, and video wiring.  Who would've thought it would be so expensive - just to wire for it (no equipment other than cable included)!!!!

We have a roof - sort of!!

Most of the roof sheathing is done so things will stay a bit drier from now on.  We had to move the bathroom window up to make room for the shower walls - duh!  Looks a little weird but there was no other option.  We'll plant some bushes to camouflage the blank wall underneath!

As you can see - part of it is still missing.  We were a bit disappointed last Friday, the best weather day of the week, to find no one working at the job site.  They did get part of the trusses and sheathing over the front entry done, though.

View from the side yard.  The framers ran into a problem where the deck and master bedroom (3 upper windows) intersect so they quit for the day...it was a nice, non windy day, too!

After a one-day delay due to high winds, the framers started installing the trusses.  High winds are expected again on 3/10 so they'll need to shore everything to keep them from falling over.
