The View - some of what we see from our house!

The Shop

Joiner and planer in the foreground, table saw to the right, workbench in the background.

Workbench on casters in the middle.  It's a little overloaded at the moment so it sags in the middle.

Free-standing workbench in the foreground, wall-mounted workbench at the right, and wood storage at the left.

The Quilt Room

Looking toward the northeast corner - ironing board in foreground, cutting table in back.

Looking from doorway - design wall on left, fabric storage in closed cabinet & drawers.

Also from doorway looking toward main sewing station in the background.

Looking from fabric storage toward entry door.  Small kitchen with double sink, microwave & coffee pot.

Help from our friends! We couldn't have done it without them...

Grandson Erik came for a week and was a HUGE help to us!
Joe Harris got the solar lights to work...hallelujah!!
Joe and Rich Burnham coating the deck boards.  They saved us a bunch of time.

Joe and Rich working on the dishwasher installation.  It took awhile and a beer or two to get it done!

We're finally in our house!! Our new address is 105506 E. Tripple Vista Dr., Kennewick, WA 99338. Phone: 509-628-0826 (a palindrome). Email: kmbrun@frontier.com

The lower level guest bath.
Our overflow bedroom - and where Karen spends the 1st 30 minutes of her day.

The kitchen - we still need to get handles for the cabinets.

The laundry room - love having the freezer so close.  The deep sink & folding space are added bonuses.

Main level guest bath.  Still need to get bath accessories and a shower curtain.

We LOVE this shower!  It's huge but if we ever need to roll a wheelchair in it, we'll be all set.

The great room - and it sure is GREAT!  We have an awesome view.  Would you believe we've had the couch & blue chair since 1985 and we still like them?!?

The master bath vanity - we're having fun trying to organize our personal hygiene products!  Need accessories for this space, too.

The main guest room - it's as big as the master and  has its own private bath just across the hall.

The master bedroom closet system.  Not as much hanging space as we had before so we'll be giving away a boatload of clothes!

The Deck

Here's Tom installing the east side of the deck.

The steps - there's railing all around the deck & down the stairwell now.

We're Getting By With a Little Help from Our Friends

Joe Harris, Katie's DH, helped with coating and installing deck cedar and the reason our solar lights are now working.  Thanks, Joe!

Marleen, the 'tile queen', washing down the shower walls in preparation for grout.

Jana, the 'tile princess' (and Marleen's daughter) helping Mom wash the walls.

Countertops!!!

The master bath vanity - really cool sinks.  There's a tower in the middle now to hold our daily use products.
The island!!

The whole kitchen - as you can see, it's not all that big but the pantry makes up for it.

The guest bath vanity.  Have yet to install the knobs; hence, the dangling strings.

July 3rd Update

Drain field trenches - good news, we passed inspection!

Hurking big heat pump!

Ceiling fan in the great room.  Unfortunately, the electrician didn't tell us the dip switch settings on the receiver so we can't get it to run.

Part of the kitchen's upper cabinets

The shop!  It's a bit of a mess right now but we're working around it.

Quilt room lighting.  We finished trimming out the window wells yesterday.

Marleen, the tile queen, working on the shower...or maybe she's talking on her iPhone!

We Have Stucco!!!

View is from southwest.  You're see the exterior garage person door and the two south garage windows.

Front facade - windows from left to right are in the laundry room, guest bath, and guest bedroom.  The front entry door will be painted one shade darker than the fascia.  We plan to put slate tile on the cement landing zone.

Windows from left to right are the kitchen over the sink and the dining area.  We've been so busy tiling, clear-coating the deck cedar, moving Tom's shop equipment, and a dozen other things that we haven't had time to take any photos.

Garage Doors

Double garage door - we're thinking this will painted the same color as the trim around it.

Single garage door - notice the fascia is painted in this one.

Sheetrock

Northwest corner of great room - glider to deck on the right.  The piano & two cabinets will be on the wall at the left.

Fireplace surround - the hole at the top will house a cabinet for audio/visual components Tom is building.

Looking toward kitchen - pantry is in the center.  Obvious, yes?
From great room, down hallway.  Foyer coat closet at left, guest bedroom door next, then guest bath & laundry room.
